Major Cast of Speakers for Conference at Ridgecrest
Bristol, TN, April 22, 2010–The 17,000-member Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA), will hold their 2010 National Convention at the Ridgecrest Conference Center in Ridgecrest, NC (Asheville area) from April 29-May 2, 2010 with a cast of distinguished and exceptional speakers.
Convention speakers include: David Thompson, MD, Missionary Surgeon; Os Guinness, DPhil, Author and Speaker; John Patrick, MD, Professor and regarded as Today’s C.S. Lewis; Teresa Collett, JD, Professor of Law and Director of the Prolife Center, University of St. Thomas School of Law and David Stevens, MD, CEO of CMDA, Author and Speaker.
Twenty-eight workshops include special tracks for bioethics, dental, students and spouses. Continuing Medical Education is available for many of the workshops. Topics include: Press On – Trusting God When the Journey is Difficult, How Healthcare Professionals Can Become More Involved in the Abolition Movement, Update on Autism, Ten Things You Need to Know to Treat Geriatric Patients, Seven Principles to Guide Healthcare Reform, Abortion and Eugenics and Having a Successful Marriage.
CMDA is a national organization that exists to motivate, educate and equip Christian physicians and dentists to glorify God. Among the various ministries of CMDA, we have outreach functions on over 240 medical and dental campuses, send over 50 short-term mission teams throughout the world each year and a policy arm that educates members, the church and the public on bioethical issues like stem cell research and physician-assisted suicide.
The Convention will begin on April 29 and will continue through May 2 at the Ridgecrest Conference Center. Medical experts are available for interviews on a wide variety of topics including healthcare reform, reproductive technology, international missions and right of conscience in healthcare.
